David Cooper

David has been a part of the sales team at Trez Capital since 2016. He was promoted to Managing Director, National Retail Sales in March 2023. In his current role, he is responsible for the strategic growth and operational excellence of the retail sales team of wholesalers and inside sales representatives.

David has had a progressive career with the firm due to his track record of significantly growing retail sales and strengthening relationships with advisors and family offices. David previously held the position of Vice President, National Retail Sales with Trez Capital where he was responsible for the daily oversight of the retail sales team and servicing investment advisors and family offices across Canada. Prior to joining Trez Capital, David was an internal wholesaler at Manulife Investments.

David has an honours degree in economics from Queen’s University and is also a CFA charter holder. David is actively involved in the community, most notably as the Chair of the St. Michael’s Hospital Young Leaders Committee and sits on the Board of Directors for the St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation.
